I have said before that you need to look over your bikes, ATV's, and SXS's after they have sat all winter for signs of mice on/around your machine and in air box before running. Well they will live in your watercraft as well. This machine had a huge nest built around the jet pump and his dining area was next to the impeller filling it with acorn pieces. Always do a thorough check over every square of your machine if it sat somewhere where it was undisturbed all winter. These vermouth don't care how new or what kind of machine you have. To them everything is fair game. Customer started this machine and said it sounded like rocks in his jet pump. After pulling all the nest out and one dead varmint it took a lot of degreaser and pressure washing to get all of the f***s that had turned into liquid tar and the smell off the machine. If you're going to store your machine whether summer or winter toy they do make alternatives to those awful mothballs to place around your machines rodents on Amazon. It's worth a few dollars to save from the labor of cleaning it up or them causing any damage.

I don't do the rescuing, I leave that up to the professionals. But we do make sure the equipment is always ready and reliable if there is an emergency. We appreciate all the local fire departments for entrusting us to handle all thier watercraft rescue equipment!

Well we know why it runs rough. If you have a machine and it is been setting don't assume that mice can't find their way into it. Before you even start it, look around the machine and in the airbox and make sure there's no nest before you start it up. Because if they chew through the air filter all that goes into your motor.

The seasons are changing around the shop. The summer machines are starting to roll in along with sleds getting serviced and summerized. Phones been ringing non stop and the schedule is doing anything but letting up. Putting in those productive late nights to get this weeks batch wrapped up so we can move on to the trailers packed with machines in the lot for next week. 3 calls for watercraft's already. 2nd week of April before we're ready for those! Always love those calls when people say "when you slow down I've got a project for you". Haha slow down? What's that?

The amount of stuff I see that rolls in my shop that has been worked on previously by customers or dealers that are done wrong, Things broken during repair, or told the work was done but in fact not done at all. I am very meticulous with the work that I do but this kind of stuff is pure neglect or inexperienced people hired in that should not be working on machines without supervision or a service manager double checking the work they are doing. The circle of trustworthy dealerships get smaller every year.

Springtime is just around the corner. If you keep your machine somewhere that there is not a lot of traffic then there is a good chance that you may have a new tenant. Most common for ATVs would be in the battery tray and airbox and sometimes inside the belt housing to your drive belt. Be sure to pop that airbox cover off before firing it up. If there was not a sufficient amount of filter oil on the filter then the mice may have chewed on the filter which will create an open passage for debris to get into carburetor or throttle body. Always look before firing it up if there is a question that mice may have found it.

Instead of taking the last couple days to pack before vacation, I decided to get a start on machines dropped off for appointments after vacation was over. Tear downs done, And got parts orders made the day we left . My man Justin at Fox Powersports got everything together and delivered before we got back. Production can start tomorrow without any down time. It's always hard not to get into vacation mode prior to the day you leave but if you can't be ahead of the game, you can't be productive. And if you can't be productive, you can't be successful. There's nothing better than have connections to keep things rolling while your away. Big thanks to Justin for handling the parts and keeping our vacation stress free!

Owner just bought the sled. Brought it in to have a check over done.
Well that's not good, previous owner was actually riding the machine without any secondary rollers in it. Some new Fett Bros performance rollers and some clean up on the Helix and he will have a night and day difference.
Remember, if you have one of these skidoo with a QRS secondary, it's not if, it's when your rollers are going to go. Make sure if you're replacing them that you're upgrading do some good hardened performance rollers .

A must have for easy installation to keep from rolling powervalve seals during install.

And..... another 850 with 3000 miles on it and the set of power valves that lose more oil than the Alaskan Valdese.
