Employers! If you get a rate increase from Colorado Department of labor and employment "YOUR UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE RATE NOTICE - CORRECTED". go to dlle.colorado.gov/premium-rates and click link "Rate Protest and submit a written protest". With all of the fraud, they are now increasing rates! I feel the employers should not pay for this, as the Unemployment Division did not VET many claims to ensure they were real and just paid them out (due to the Federal Corona Covid Act) telling them not to verifiy and using Self Certification for the individuals filing claims. Employers are having a hard enough time staying in business and now to be paying more to unemployment when the Feds, & State allowed claims to be paid out without employment verification!

BE VIGILENT! OPEN ALL mail and email from CDLE and dispute claims quickly! I have had many clients have MANY MANY claims for unemployment in their names, in current employees names, and peoples names who never worked for them.

URGENT FRAUD ALERT!!! Be sure to open all email, and mail from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. People are claiming unemployment against companies, even if they never worked for you in hopes you do not dispute the charges. Some claims are being made in current employees names that are still working for you. Be Vigilant!!! Be Aware!

I have had several clients receive claims stating they themselves, the owners of the company, have claimed unemployment.

Finally the AG and CDLE are going to address this issue TODAY (3/4/2021) at 10AM, with a News release.
