Dear Clients,
Happy New Year!

… And welcome to the start of the 2025 tax season!!

Attention: NEW 2025 TAX REFORM THIS YEAR!!

Did you purchase a new vehicle last year? “New” meaning you are the first, original owner of the vehicle. (original use MUST start with you, the taxpayer)
Please provide the office with a copy of your registration
We will need the amount of Interest paid on the vehicle loan, as well.
Your lender will provide a statement (likely on a new Form 1098-VLI starting in future years; for 2025, a simple statement via online portal or monthly statement is sufficient) showing the total interest paid during the year.
Did you receive “tips” as income?
Please provide the office with documentation supporting your claim.
W-2
Pay Stub
Itemized memo, etc.
Did you work any overtime last year?
Please provide your End-of-Year paystub AND your W-2

Attention: Executive Order 14247, signed March 25, 2025, by President Trump, mandates the modernization of U.S. federal payments, shifting from paper checks to electronic methods for security, efficiency, and cost reduction, aiming for all federal payments and receipts to be electronic by September 30, 2025, affecting tax refunds and benefits like Social Security, with provisions for limited exceptions.
Precision Tax will need EVERYONE’S banking information for direct deposit and for balance due payments.
Paper checks for refunds will “reportedly” be delayed in excess of 6 weeks.

Attention: Business Owner’s
Do we do your W-2’s?? We will need your information ASAP to produce those in a timely manner. PLEASE call the office with questions.

Starting Monday, January 12th, 2026 we will be OPEN Monday - Friday from 10am - 5pm. As we progress into the tax season our hours will increase, per our usual: Monday - Friday 9am - 7pm and Saturday 9am - 4pm.

This year’s tax organizer has been sent to everyone in the mail and you should be receiving those soon! Be sure to fill out your organizer and return it with your supporting tax documentation.

For a reminder on what to bring us, please reference your Precision Tax binder from last year. Inside the front cover of your binder there are exact examples of what you will need THIS year. We suggest using last year's required documentation as a guide to help you organize THIS year’s required documentation. (Should additional documentation be required, the office will let everyone know on a client-to-client basis, per your individual tax situation.)

For your convenience, a copy of this year's Welcome letter and tax organizer is attached.

We LOOK FORWARD to seeing everyone!

Penn Station Subs Reopens to Honor Late Owner, Seeks Community Support

WESTLAND, MI—Penn Station Subs on North Wayne Road in Westland, a fixture in the community for nearly 25 years, is reopening its doors today, November 18th, just over a week after the passing of its dedicated owner, Kevin Pilon.

The restaurant, located at 8425 N Wayne Rd in the Holiday Plaza, has been a labor of love for the Pilon family since Kevin and his father, Dave Pilon, first opened it 24 years ago.

Kevin Pilon, described as a great man by his family, passed away on November 7th. His wife, Cari Smith Pilon, is now leading the effort to keep the restaurant running to honor her husband’s legacy and commitment to the business, its employees, and its customers.

“Kevin put his heart and soul into this restaurant,” Cari Smith Pilon shared. “He loved his employees, customers, and everyone who supported Penn Station over the years. We want to honor how hard he has worked over these many years.”

Over the decades, the restaurant has faced numerous challenges, including economic shifts, multiple road closures, the COVID-19 pandemic, and bridge closures. Now, the Pilon family is navigating this tremendous personal loss while striving to maintain the quality and service that made Penn Station a local favorite.

The family is asking the Westland community and loyal customers to stop by this week to show their support. Not only will every order help the family continue the business, but customers are also encouraged to share stories or memories of Kevin Pilon to help celebrate his life.

The Pilon family hopes to continue making subs for the community as a tribute to the man who made the restaurant what it is today. They hope to see you soon! Penn Station 8425 N Wayne Rd Westland MI 48185.
