Some of the most meaningful work we do together happens outside the Bluestone office.

For years, we've had the privilege of partnering with Ronald McDonald House, supporting an organization whose impact on families throughout our Columbus community is difficult to put into words.

Their work provides families with comfort, care and a place to stay close to their children during some of life's most challenging moments, and we're continually inspired by the difference they make.

Our team recently spent the day volunteering together, continuing a partnership we're incredibly proud of.

Supporting this mission through both our time and resources has given us the opportunity to see firsthand just how much thought, compassion and hard work goes into caring for the families who walk through their doors.

At Bluestone, relationships have always been at the heart of what we do, and that commitment extends beyond the clients we serve to the community we're fortunate to be part of.

We're grateful for the opportunity to spend time together as a team doing something meaningful, and even more grateful for the incredible people at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio who make this work possible every day.

Morning person or night owl? We asked the Bluestone team when they're at their best, and the answers were about as varied as you'd expect!

One of the things we love about Bluestone is that our advisors span every decade from their 20s through their 60s.

We're all in different phases of life, with different schedules, routines and ideas of what the perfect morning or evening looks like.

Some are up early and ready to take on the day, while others find their stride a little later.

Whatever the preference, there's one thing we can all agree on: when it's time to show up for our clients and each other, we're ready.

It's part of what makes our team dynamic so special.

Different generations, different perspectives and plenty of shared experience, all working together to make Bluestone the best it can be.

Now we're curious. Are you an early bird or a night owl?

We're excited to welcome Emily to Bluestone Wealth Partners as our newest Client Service Manager!

At Bluestone, we believe the experience our clients have is just as important as the financial guidance we provide.

We put a great deal of care into making that experience exceptional, and we're excited to have Emily joining the people who help make it all happen.

As our newest Client Service Manager, Emily works closely with our advisors and support team to coordinate client requests, manage important details and help ensure every client feels genuinely taken care of.

She brings valuable experience in financial services, along with a background in communications and marketing, and we're looking forward to the perspective she'll bring as our team continues to grow.

Originally from Orange County, California, Emily made her way to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University, where she earned her degree in Communications.

Before joining Bluestone, she worked as a Client Service Associate, supporting financial advisors and helping manage client relationships and account administration.

Here's something you might not expect: Emily grew up as a competitive ice skater and still spends time on the ice as a synchronized skating coach! She's also an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan who loves traveling, exploring new hobbies, getting outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

We're thrilled to have Emily on the team and can't wait for our clients and community to get to know her. Help us give her a warm welcome!

What does it mean to be a young investor in the social media age, when there’s an endless stream of financial advice, market predictions and investing trends coming at you every day?

Bluestone Partner Adam Weingartner sat down with Financial Associate Ali Kobeissi to talk about investing from the perspective of a generation that has grown up with more access to financial information than ever before, but hasn’t necessarily experienced a major, prolonged market downturn as an investor.

That makes having a plan even more important.

Markets will have difficult years, headlines will get louder and social media will have plenty of opinions about what you should do next.

The goal isn’t to react to all of it. It’s to understand what you’re investing for, what it will take to get there and how the decisions you make today fit into the life you’re actually trying to build.

Ali also shares something we think is important for any young financial professional: learning about investing starts with understanding people. Financial decisions affect real families, real goals and real futures, and knowing how to build a thoughtful financial plan matters just as much as knowing the markets.

Information has never been easier to find.

Knowing what deserves your attention, and having a plan that keeps you focused when the noise gets louder, is where thoughtful financial planning makes the difference.

If the Bluestone team had to choose one song as their personal anthem, what would it be?

We asked around the office, and the answers might surprise you.

There’s a little bit of everything in the mix, which feels pretty fitting for a group with plenty of different personalities, perspectives and tastes.

We spend a lot of time talking markets, financial planning and the decisions that matter to our clients, but we also really like the people we get to do it with.

Take a listen to the songs our team chose.

We love the energy they’re bringing, and we have a feeling a few might make it onto your playlist too.

A few scenes from a day at Bluestone, and a look at something that makes the way we work a little different.

Our advisors span every decade from their 20s through their 60s, and that range of experience is very intentional.

We have more than 40 years of perspective within Bluestone, including the lessons that only come from navigating decades of markets, careers and major financial decisions.

At the same table are advisors bringing fresh thinking, current best practices and an eye toward the tools and innovations that can make the way we serve clients even better.

It creates a balance we really value: hold onto what has consistently worked, stay curious about what can work better, and never do something a certain way simply because that’s how it has always been done.

That same thinking has shaped how we’ve built the entire Bluestone team.

Our advisors collaborate across generations and areas of expertise, supported by people working behind the scenes to keep every detail moving, so our clients don’t have to spend their own time coordinating all the pieces of their financial lives.

We know one of the most valuable things our clients have is their time.

The way we work together is designed to respect it, making their financial lives more efficient while giving every decision the depth of thought it deserves.

It’s more than 40 years of experience paired with a constant focus on what’s next, all working together for the people we serve.

90% of wealthy families lose their wealth by the third generation.

So what does the other 10% do differently?

Adam Weingartner and Ric Martin sat down to talk about why preserving generational wealth requires more than strong investment returns, tax planning and estate strategies.

It also means preparing the people who will eventually be responsible for that wealth.

Starting conversations about money and family values early, involving the next generation in philanthropy and financial decisions, and giving them opportunities to learn and participate can all help build the confidence and perspective needed to carry a family’s legacy forward.

It’s also one of the reasons Bluestone has intentionally built a multigenerational team of financial advisors.

Whether someone is starting their first 401(k), building a career, approaching retirement or thinking about transferring wealth to the next generation, we want every member of a family to have an advisor who understands where they are and can grow alongside them.

For more than 40 years, Bluestone Wealth Partners has provided wealth management and financial planning in Columbus, Ohio, helping families think beyond simply building wealth to what it takes to preserve, grow and use it thoughtfully for generations.

If the Bluestone team could pack up the car and take the perfect road trip, where would everyone go?

We asked around the office, and apparently our definition of a “road trip” is pretty flexible.

Some of us are keeping it close to home, while others are perfectly willing to spend 17 hours in the car if the destination is worth it.

It’s a fun reminder that everyone has their own favorite way to get away, recharge and enjoy some time outside the office, whether that means a quick weekend escape or a full day on the road with a very good playlist.

See where the Bluestone team is headed, and let us know if any of your favorite road trip spots made the list.

We’re big believers in planning for the future, including making time to actually enjoy it along the way.

For someone earlier in their career, a Roth 401(k) can be rocket fuel for a successful retirement plan.

Bluestone Partner Gabe Martin sat down with Atiq, Director of Advisor Portfolio Support, to talk about why the Roth option can be such a powerful tool for younger investors.

Contributions are made with after-tax dollars, which means qualified distributions in retirement can be tax-free, giving those dollars years, and potentially decades, to grow.

Atiq brings another important piece into the conversation: liquidity.

Money going into a retirement account is meant to stay invested for the long term, so taking advantage of that growth potential also means being thoughtful about how much you contribute while maintaining the flexibility you need today.

Like most things in financial planning, the answer is situational.

As your career progresses, income rises and your tax situation changes, there may be a point when shifting from Roth to traditional 401(k) contributions makes more sense.

The goal isn’t simply to save on taxes today or later. It’s understanding how to use both options strategically over the course of your career.

That’s also where having a Bluestone advisor in your corner comes in.

The right strategy at the beginning of your career may not be the right strategy five, ten or twenty years from now.

We help clients continually weigh those decisions against their income, tax picture, liquidity needs and long-term goals so their retirement strategy can evolve right alongside their life and career.

Successful investing isn’t about knowing exactly what comes next. It’s about building a strategy designed to hold up when you don’t.

That idea is at the heart of our investment philosophy at Bluestone Wealth Partners.

We believe investors should be appropriately compensated for the risks they take, have a strategy with a high probability of success relative to their goals, and avoid unnecessary risks whenever possible.

It’s also why we take a humble approach to investing.

Markets are complex, and short-term outcomes are inherently difficult to predict.

Rather than trying to forecast every turn, we focus our attention on the things we can control: asset allocation, diversification, risk management, tax efficiency and investor behavior.

More than 40 years of navigating different markets has reinforced the importance of that discipline.

Markets will change, headlines will change and opportunities will change. A thoughtful investment strategy should be built with that reality in mind.

At Bluestone, our goal is to help clients stay disciplined through those changes while keeping their investments connected to the bigger financial picture and, most importantly, the goals that matter to them.
