IMPORTANT IRS PENALTY RELIEF OPPORTUNITY
Many taxpayers may be entitled to refunds of IRS penalties and interest that were assessed during the COVID relief period - but most people have no idea this opportunity exists.
The National Taxpayer Advocate has warned that taxpayers who fail to file protective refund claims BEFORE July 10, 2026 could permanently lose their rights to recover these amounts.
Potentially affected penalties may include:
*Failure to File penalties
*Failure to Pay penalties
*Estimated Tax penalties
*Certain international information return penalties
This is NOT automatic IRS relief. Taxpayers generally must file a protective claim using IRS Form 843 to preserve their rights while the legal issues continue to develop.
If you or your business paid significant IRS penalties between January 20, 2020 and July 10, 2023, this could be extremely important.
Do not assume the IRS will automatically adjust your account later.
