Today we said goodbye to the owner of the company I work for. Steven passed away early this week after a less than 3 month battle with cancer. Steven was more than a boss, seeing that we are a small company of only 15 people, he was family. I've been with Velmeir for over 5 years now and Steven and I were like brother and sister at times. We'd love to banter! There were many highs and lows but never a doubt that he cared about me and the rest of the team as family. I am truly blessed to be a part of his team, he has taught me so much about the business and life in general. We are going to do all we can to make him proud and continue his vision for the company he founded. I'm going to miss all his quirky sayings like "Take your time, but hurry up!" and "That was great, just don't do it again!" Rest in Peace Steven, I'm sure going to miss you!

He could see my potential when I thought I was maxed out.
