After 10 years of having this business page, H&R Block has decided that I am not able to advertise the business I run, and are saying I have to remove the page. After countless hours of trying to get the name changed, Facebook guidelines will not allow me to.

Due to that I am being forced to shutdown this page and start a new one. So, here I am, asking all of my wonderful friends, family, and clients to please like and follow my new page tagged.

When i came into my office this morning there was a GIANT dead rat laying by the trash can out front. 🤮 But, because that wasn't bad enough, someone has come along and thrown it in the trash can to decompose and stink. Since this trash can is basically in front of my front door, this means that anyone coming here is going to smell the god awful stench of a decomposing animal.

With that being said, would someone from the City of Webster City be able to come change this garbage before the smell becomes an issue? It is beyond me why anyone would think it would be a good idea to just throw a dead animal in the garbage.

For the 3rd year in a row, I have had to debate with an in-home daycare provider about what they are REQUIRED to provide to their clients. 😒 This year was a new one though. This one was under the impression that she would be able to sue me if I kept records of the information she is required to provide, specifically her SSN. She then proceeded to give me a PO Box for her address and when I asked for her physical address she said, "I just gave it to you!" Well, no, that's a location at the Post Office, not YOUR address.

Below is a screenshot of form w10, the form an in-home daycare provider is REQUIRED to provide, that explains WHY they are required to provide this information.

If you do not want to be required to give your SSN and address to all of your clients, I would recommend requesting an EIN by going to www.irs.gov. It is a very simple process.

I also strongly encourage people to look into the laws and requirements of the profession you are going into BEFORE you start the business. It will help eliminate your frustration when you are now required to provide confidential information to strangers.

🚨PSA for all overtime earners 🚨

This is going to be a transition year, so employers are NOT going to be required to report your overtime wages on the W2. Please keep this in mind and get a hold of your last pay stub for 2025. Make sure that it has your year to date overtime reported. If it does not, get with your employer because they will be required to provide you with your gross overtime wages for the deduction.
