Another week, another face behind Bet-Mar!

This week, we’re introducing Dee, our Social Media Manager and Bookkeeper!

Dee loves getting to use her creative side while working with family. Between bookkeeping and social media, she’s got the numbers covered AND makes sure things look good doing it!

When she’s not working, Dee is busy being a wife of 11 years, mom to three kiddos, and dog mom to two pups. Needless to say, her calendar is FULL, and quiet time is basically a luxury!

Outside of work, you’ll find her cheering on her kids at their sporting events, binge-watching true crime documentaries, or making yet another iced coffee.

Fun fact: Dee is an absolute BEAST with a sewing machine! Give her a sewing project, and she’ll make it happen.

Fuel of choice: Iced coffee. All day. Every day. Multiple times a day. At this point, we’re pretty sure it’s keeping her whole operation running!

Dream vacation: Anywhere with sand and water! Bonus points if there’s a beach chair, a good view, and absolutely nothing on the to-do list.

Current obsession: Becoming the best version of herself! Dee is always pushing herself to grow, work harder, and make the people she loves proud. She’s got big goals and isn’t afraid to put in the work to reach them.

Three words to describe her: Creative. Driven. Independent.

Between juggling two jobs, raising three kids, keeping up with two dogs, and somehow finding time to be creative, Dee stays busy! She’s a hard worker with a creative streak and someone who genuinely enjoys a little peace and quiet when she can get it.

We’re so lucky to have Dee as part of the Bet-Mar family!

Another week, another face behind Bet-Mar!

This week, we're introducing Kaitlyn, our Account Manager and Payroll Specialist!

Kaitlyn has been part of the Bet-Mar family for 3.5 years, and if there's one thing you should know about her, it's that she LOVES payroll. Seriously. All of it. (Yes, people like that actually exist!)

When she's not making sure everyone gets paid, Kaitlyn is managing a whole different kind of chaos at home! She and her firefighter husband (WEE-WOO! 🚒😂) have four kids, three daughters and a son, and three dogs! Needless to say, there's never a quiet moment!

Outside of work, you'll find her cheering on her kids at the softball fields or soaking up some sunshine on the boat at the lake. ☀

Fun fact: Kaitlyn played the clarinet in school for one reason and one reason ONLY... Squidward from SpongeBob. Yes, really.

Fuel of choice: Cherry Diet Coke and popcorn. A solid combination!

Dream vacation: Switzerland! Give this girl ALL the mountains!

Current obsession: Crocheting and reading... but check back tomorrow, because she'll probably have a new hobby by then!

Three words to describe her: Multitasking Queen. Witty. Caring.

Between juggling payroll, clients, four kids, and whatever hobby she's picked up this week, Kaitlyn keeps things interesting around here!

🚨 TAX DEADLINE ALERT! 🚨

Remember back in April when you said, “I'll deal with my taxes in October”?

WELL... OCTOBER CALLED. AND IT'S TIME!!!!

📅 October 15, 2026 is the deadline for most taxpayers who filed an extension for their 2025 federal income tax returns!

A few friendly reminders:
An extension to FILE was not an extension to PAY.
Waiting until the last minute doesn't make the IRS forget about you.
And unfortunately, pretending taxes don't exist is still not a valid filing strategy.

New week, new face!

This week, we're introducing Logan McShan, our Operations Manager!

Logan has been part of the Bet-Mar family for 4 years, and while most people might run from a messy set of books, Logan actually enjoys a good bookkeeping cleanup! His favorite part of the job is tackling those cleanups and building relationships with clients who eventually feel more like family.

When he's not keeping things running smoothly at Bet-Mar, Logan is busy with his wife and their 5 pets..... I mean, 3 kids and 2 dogs! 😂 Between sports, traveling, and the never ending hunt for Squishies (if you don't know what that is, consider yourself lucky), there's never a dull moment!

You'll usually find him on the sidelines cheering on his kids or watching whatever sport happens to be on TV.

Fun fact: He actually loves football MORE than baseball!

Fuel of choice: An ice cold Dr Pepper and a COLD Reese's. Apparently, temperature matters!

Dream vacation: An Alaskan cruise or a week in Hawaii.

Current obsession: Trying to figure out how it's possible to sleep every single night and STILL wake up exhausted. (Parents everywhere felt that one!)

Three words to describe him: Loyal. Protective. Sarcastic. (Heavy on the last one)

Logan brings dedication, humor, and just the right amount of sarcasm to the Bet-Mar team. We're lucky to have him!

We’re kicking off our Meet the Team series with the woman behind Bet-Mar, our owner, Beth Duran!

Beth has been with Bet-Mar since 2011, and if you ask what she does around here, her answer is pretty simple: Taxes, taxes, and more taxes. 😂

Her favorite part of what she does? Working with business owners. She loves getting to know the people behind the businesses and helping them navigate the numbers that come with running one.

Outside of Bet-Mar, Beth stays BUSY. She and her husband have 5 kids, 11 grandkids, and 1 great-grandchild. Plus, a house full of 4 cats and 1 dog!

When she’s not working, you might find her camping, traveling, hitting the casino or working on a Sudoku or word puzzle.
