We are pleased to announce that Scott Nivus has joined the team at Nicholson Michaud & Nadeau! Scott has over 35 years of public accounting and private sector experience having worked for several local accounting firms in Maine and New Hampshire, as well as spending four years at Wayfarer Marine in Camden as CFO and COO. He will be providing tax and management advisory services to individual and business clients. Scott is currently treasurer of Johnson Hall in Gardiner and also serves on the board of the Waterville Country Club. He lives in Oakland with his wife Martha. They have three grown children and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first grandchild in January, 2022. He spends most of his free time playing golf but also enjoys boating in the summer, snowshoeing in the winter and spending quality time with family and friends.

Jess is a leader in our tax department, provides high-level accounting management services, and is responsible for client management and team member training. And bonus, she might come cut a tree down for you! Jess sets the standard for being kind, patient and hard-working.

We're pleased to announce the addition of Kerryann Davis to the team! Kerryann will be providing admin support, in addition to tax preparation and bookkeeping services here at the Firm. She will be a familiar face and voice to clients transitioning from Emerson & Associates, where she worked with Rhonda for the past 19 years.

Kerryann resides in Madison with her husband Brett, who owns and operates Davis Auto Sales, has two grown children, and two grandchildren. Welcome to the Team!

It's our pleasure to announce the addition of Jenni Foster to the team as a senior accountant! Jenni will be assisting our clients with tax preparation, accounting management services, and supporting the business valuation group.

Born and raised in Maine, Jenni graduated from Thomas College in 2013 with her MBA. She joins us after several years with the State of Maine, most recently as finance manager for the Maine Emergency Management Agency. She lives in China with her husband, Colby, and two children, Payton and Kaylee. During her free time, she enjoys travelling and staying active playing volleyball and softball. Welcome, Jenni!

We are extremely pleased to announce that Reginald Perry CPA/ABV,CFF,CVA, MAFF has joined the firm as Director of Business Transitions and Valuations!

Reg has more than 40 years experience in the accounting world, having founded and managed a CPA firm in Maine, and holds additional AICPA credentials Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV) and recently Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). He will be focusing his efforts at the Firm on business valuations, forensic accounting engagements and business brokerage services.

Monday is the day for round 2 of PPP Loans for some, see below!

The US SBA and Treasury announced that community financial institutions that serve minority- and women-owned businesses exclusively will be able to make first-draw PPP loans starting Monday and second-draw PPP loans starting Wednesday.
