Merrillyn's Tax Service Contact & Checklist info for prep for Merrillyn's Tax Service Office staff is available to help Monday thru Saturday from 9 am until 3 pm.

Merrillyn's Tax Service is open every day from 9 am to 9 pm, with the exception of Thursday's when we open at 3 pm. Appointments can be made starting in January. Generally, appointment times are booked out two weeks in advance. Phone calls & voicemails are generally ONLY answered during office staff hours, 9 am thru 3:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, & Saturdays. The Tax office is

closed on Thursdays, except for limited appointment times after 3 pm. Arriving before your appointment time does not mean you will be seen early. If you arrive 15 minutes late or more, you may have to reschedule your appointment. This helps ensure the needs of ALL clients can be met. Please notify us as soon as possible if a cancellation is necessary. If notice is not given a no-show fee may be charged. All mailed-in or dropped-off tax returns need to be received by March 25, unless other arrangements are made, to ensure enough time for completion.

Happy Almost April! We are pulling into the home stretch of tax season 2020! Yes, the government has extended the season to May 17th. However, we are trying to G e t I t D o n e! No need to wait until the last minute! We are still accepting drop-offs and doing face to face appointments with safety protocols in place. If you have questions, give us a call.

We will begin the amendment process for individuals who had unemployment after the tax season has ended. But you are welcome to give us a call to get on the list.

Happy New Year to You! Welcome to 2021 Tax Season!
We are up and running. Just some information for you during these crazy times....
* We are following all the State of Michigan Health and Safety Protocols. (Plexi-glass, face masks, and lots of hand santizer).
*Currently, we are scheduling face to face appointments over the phone.
*If you are more comfortable, you may drop off your taxes. We are available to take your documents Monday-Saturday from 9-6pm at the front door.
** Before or after that time period, you can place your envelopes in the red mailbox by the back door. When you drop off your papers, please make sure you include the following info:
1. Phone number
2. Current banking information for your deposits/withdrawals
3. Updated driver's license information
4. The best time for us to contact you

Checking in with all of my loyal Tax Friends...
Just a brief note to make sure everyone is healthy and sane in this crazy Covid-19 pandemic. We are healthy and hanging in there, so far.
Yes, the IRS and the State of Michigan have extended the deadline for filing to July 15th. We are still trying to get the tax preparation done as soon as possible. You can still wait to pay your bill by July 15th. Or, if you get a refund, the money will come sooner than later.
We are still doing taxes by drop off only, at this point. We will be available between 9-4pm to collect your paperwork at the front door. Before or after that time period, you can place your envelopes in the red mailbox by the back door. When you drop off your papers, please make sure you include the following info:

Good Morning, and Happy Thursday to everybody in Facebook land! Just a few details for you....
1. We are ONLY doing drop off tax returns for current clients at this time.
2. If you are in need of Tax Professional, we will be making limited appointments after April 20th for new clients.
3. The federal tax deadline has been extended to July 15th, however no news yet from Michigan.
**** We are still aiming to complete our current clients prior to April 15th, and then you have the option of paying your balance due at your own timeline before July 15th.
4. We have NOT received any details regarding the stimulus checks. You can check www.irs.gov for more information.
5. We will post more information, as it becomes available.
6. Be safe, be healthy... stay home!
