Paper File with Direct Deposit - Refunds usually take 6-8
weeks from the date the IRS receives your return.

📌 EITC /ACT Credits: If you are claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACT), your refund may be delayed.
The IRS is holding these refunds until mid-February to verity eligibility, so expect a slight delay..

If you’re still waiting on your tax refund, you’re not alone! Many people are wondering why they haven’t heard anything yet, but here’s the deal-it’s not the platform where you filed, it’s the IRS.

While most refunds are issued within 21 days, some returns require additional review, which can cause delays. And if you claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC), federal law prevents the IRS from sending those refunds before mid-February.

What to expect:
The IRS says most EITC/ACTC refunds should be updated on Where’s My Refund? by Feb 22.

If you chose direct deposit, expect to see your refund by March 3, as long as there are no other issues.

Check Where’s My Refund? on IRS.gov or the IRS2Go app for updates!
