This is my mom, Tracy. We lost her way too soon and I’m honestly in pain every day because of it but she taught us to be strong and that we can get through hard times because of we have each other.

Not only did she give everything and more to my sisters and me, but she also gave so much to everyone around her. She was funny, beautiful, caring, strong, and so many other amazing things it would take all day to list. She’s the reason I am where I am today. Her unwavering support made me feel like I could do anything I set my mind to, and I definitely get a lot of my personality from her.

I miss her every day and wish she could be here physically for every moment, but I carry her with me in everything I do. ❤️

This is Judy, Cat’s mom. Cat started working for us in the fall, and we haven’t stopped laughing since. She quickly became more than just a coworker- I truly consider her a friend.

Fun fact: on Halloween night, a kitten followed my fiancé and me home, and Judy took her in. She now lives a very happy life thanks to her 🤍.

“My mom has always given everything for my happiness, and I don’t know where I’d be without her. She’s not just my mom, she’s my best friend. She is the most selfless, supportive, and loving person I know, and she shows that in everything she does.
I’m especially grateful for the way we can talk through anything together. no matter what I’m going through, she’s always there to listen, guide me, and remind me of who I am. This is Holly, Brody and Van’s mom. Brody joined our team a couple of months ago as our dishwasher and quickly became a favorite. He’s hardworking, thoughtful, and always willing to step up, and Van is the same way.

Both of them are a joy to work with, and the way they show up says so much about how they were raised.

Holly has been a great customer since day one and always brings the best energy.

If you know Angelo, you know how amazing he is. He lights up the room when he walks in and is one of the hardest workers we know. His mom raised a good one!! This is what Angelo said about his mom:

“The definition of benevolent is “well-meaning, kindly, charitable, or motivated by sympathy and generosity”. I can 100% say with no doubt in my mind is that my mom is a benevolent person. She brings out the better in me. Whenever I am sad, angry, frustrated, and even just happy, she is always by my side. I probably p**s her off everyday asking to leave school, or buy me food, or just texting her about irrelevant s**t while she is working but she is still my best friend. I trust her with everything and anything. She has a good soul. I could be so upset and have the worst day of my life but the second I am with her I feel better. She is a home to me. My mom is all around a good-hearted person that I can depend on for the rest of my life. I want to be just like my mom when I am older. I love her so much. “

In honor of Mother’s Day next weekend, we’re highlighting the moms of Simply Spinelli. Every day, a different story 🤍

We also want to say this gently… this holiday can feel really different for everyone. So just be kind. You never really know what someone is carrying.

First is Francesca.

She’s no longer with us, but she raised someone really special and we’re lucky to have her here at the café.

Here’s what Alessandra shared:
“I’m Alessandra and this is my mom Francesca. Although I didn’t have much time with my mom before she passed, she left a huge impact on my heart. My mom was one of the sweetest, most caring, and strongest people you would ever meet. Her energy would light up any room she walked into.”
