Nonspouse beneficiaries now have to deplete inherited IRAs within 10 years (the '10-year rule'), affecting those in their peak earning years. Roth IRAs can be a better estate planning option, as nonspouse beneficiaries won't owe taxes on withdrawals. The key is to choose the best option based on individual objectives.
