Final Stop on the Alexandria tour, Chalkboard Wings & BBQ to see my guy C.J. Cross.

We went to O'Connell together, caught up recently at our 25th reunion and it really doesn't take much to talk me into some BBQ. Next time I'm in the area...

Took a while, but was finally in the area. CJ happened to arrive a minute after me, so we got to catch up some more on family and life. Eventually, I crushed some brisket, ribs, wings and mac & cheese. It was all FANTASTIC!!

Need to get back out this way again soon.

Next stop in Alexandria was to see Dr. Amy Crawley at Capital Chiropractic

Best time to get your back adjusted is after you've had all your muscles loosened up from an amazing massage.

And while I'm still a huge work in progress, Dr. Amy has definitely helped reduce the computer back curve and improved my posture.

(She'll also help you plan a Disney vacation)

Next stop was Alexandria Massage Therapy and Wellness Center for a long overdue, deep tissue massage with the incredible Ms. Reyna Smith. Cannot recommend her enough. Just tell her where to focus and let her go to work, chasing knots with multiple techniques.

Reyna is like a palm reader for the entire body. "Your calf is tight here because you're overcompensating for a flat foot, which is why you have this hip pain here, and it's pulling these muscles giving you back pain here and here, and btw, do you have shoulder tightness here too?" (of course I did).

Reyna was too shy for a pic, so fair warning, don't judge a book by it's cover when you meet this quiet, tiny, little masseuse. She is fully capable of putting you in tears from weakness leaving your body.

Spent the past few days visiting some of my favorite Alexandria people, starting with Remi Rory, founder of MNE Coaching. The families met up for a solid couple hours of keeping the kids busy and we got to catch up on life and business. Nothing but good vibes when Remi is around.

We all have different definitions of success. Many may see it as reaching a certain revenue or growth goal. I see it slightly differently.

I spent my Friday morning cheering on my kids at their annual school color run.

Always a great event. Ran a bunch of laps, cooled off with snow cones, raised a lot of money for the school (and Rowan won one of the raffle prizes).

And even though I "work for myself", if my business didn't allow me to do that, than it's just another job, slowly and quietly stealing my freedom and taking precious time away from the most important things in my life... my family.

Sounds like a successful morning to me.
