📢 IRS Announces Tax Relief for Mississippi Storm Victims

The IRS has announced federal tax relief for individuals and businesses affected by the severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding that began on May 6, 2026.

The following Mississippi counties qualify:
✅ Franklin County
✅ Lamar County
✅ Lawrence County
✅ Lincoln County
✅ Wilkinson County

Taxpayers in these counties now have until November 2, 2026, to file many federal tax returns and make qualifying tax payments. This relief also applies to certain payroll and excise tax returns that would normally be due during the relief period.
