| Hannah Kearns | Director of Operations
"I don't know what's around the bend, but I'm going to believe that the best is." Anne of
Hannah will be the first to tell you that nobody really has it all figured out. That life isn't as serious as we tend to make it and that reminder is one of the most freeing things you can do.
For someone who leads an entire operations team, that kind of honesty is refreshing. And it's exactly what makes her the leader she is.
--
Her path to Tall Oak Advisors started in banking, moved into hotel and eCommerce accounting, then into operations.
When she walked into . the team was big, systems were thin, and consistency was missing. Rather than work around it, Hannah stepped in: learned bookkeeping, builded processes from scratch, hired, trained, and -more than anything- listened. A year later, the difference was undeniable: turnover is almost nonexistent and her systems are still what every new hire learns from.
Ask her to describe her leadership and she'll say: transparency, honesty, integrity, excellence.
She leads with openness, extends trust first, and pushes for excellence, not perfection, just the genuine question of what's the best I can offer here? because she believes that question changes everything.
Her team feels all of it. In their own words, she's the kind of leader who challenges you to grow while making sure you feel supported the whole way through.
Neerasha, out Accounting Director, describe her as "someone who thinks beyond today's task and always asks how things can be done smarter".
And Shawni, our Tax Team Support Lead says: "she makes me want to keep learning, improving, and stepping outside my comfort zone because she genuinely believes in bringing out the best in people."
She's also built a team culture where people actually root for each other. Where wins are celebrated together, help is offered freely, and everyone is working toward the same goal.

Outside work, Hannah is a reader, dabbles in embroidery, and is currently reading Harry Potter aloud to her daughter for the first time. Favorite character: Remus Lupin. Comfort food: Xiaolongbao. Perfect day: 60 degrees, overcast, wandering a city with her family. No agenda, just good food and good company.
Her vision for is rooted in that same simplicity: a place business where owners can lean on, and a team that's always people-first. "I want them to do their hobbies, have their families and friends, travel. Tall Oak doesn't need to be the end-all be-all. I just want it to be a safe space they can count on."
That's Hannah Kearns. Honest and warm. Strategic and human. The kind of leader who builds things that last and makes sure the people around her grow along the way. 🌳 💚
