🚨 Tax scams are getting more sophisticated every year — and 2026 is no exception.
The IRS recently released their annual “Dirty Dozen” list, and one thing stands out:
👉 Scammers are getting better at looking legitimate
We’re seeing:
• Emails and texts pretending to be the IRS
• AI-generated phone calls that sound real
• Messages creating urgency about refunds or payments
The goal is always the same:
👉 Get your personal or financial information
📌 A simple reminder:
The IRS will NOT contact you first by text, email, or social media.
If something feels urgent or off — pause before responding.
When in doubt, reach out to your CPA or go directly to IRS.gov.
