Purposely Entrusted Motherhood Faith-rooted support for women navigating pregnancy, birth, and motherhood with space for questions, nuance, and care. He worked whatever jobs he could find.

Hey, I’m Amy—founder of Purposely Entrusted Motherhood. I help smart, capable moms find clarity and calm in their finances—so they can stop carrying the weight alone and start leading their families forward with confidence. In 2018, my husband and I walked away from a high-control group that shaped every part of our life—our work, our income, and even our identity. We left with no safety net and six kids to care for. I stayed home, homeschooled, and stretched every dollar, trusting that God would provide. That season taught me how to rebuild from scratch—and how powerful it is when you have clarity, purpose, and support you can count on. Now I coach moms who are tired of doing it all in their heads, unsure if they’re “doing it right,” and just want a simple, steady plan that works in real life.

Last call, friends. We gather TODAY, in just one hour.

When Birth and Grief Meet
A virtual gathering for every provider who supports moms through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum
Today, Wednesday, October 21
6:00 pm ET / 4:00 pm MT / 3:00 pm PT and Arizona

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Stillbirth is rare in our work, and that’s exactly why so many of us feel unprepared when it happens.

Tonight I’ll share my son Gideon’s story, along with what loss families wish their care teams had known. We’ll talk about:

What to do in the first moments and hours
How to protect memories that can’t be replaced
Florida law when a baby dies at home or at a birth center
How to keep showing up in the weeks after
Caring for ourselves, too

Everyone who registers will receive the recording and six take-home resources you can use in your practice.

Can’t make it live? Register anyway! You’ll still get the recording and all six resources in your inbox.

If this topic is tender for you, you’re welcome just as you are. Come, listen, step away when you need to.

Tomorrow evening, birth workers will gather to learn how to support families through stillbirth, and to honor the babies we carry in our hearts.

A gentle note: this gathering will include stillborn images, shown with a warning beforehand so you can choose whether to look.

There’s still time to join us. 🕯️

Talking about loss doesn’t make it happen. 🕯️

So many of us avoid the topic with pregnant clients, almost as if naming it might invite it. But families who know what’s normal, what’s not, and what their options are feel more equipped, whatever comes. And best case, they never need it, but they’re better prepared to love someone who does.

This is one of the things we’ll talk about at When Birth and Grief Meet.

Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

Tonight at 7:00 pm, families around the world will light a candle for one hour, creating a Wave of Light in memory of every baby gone too soon.

I’ll be lighting one for my son. 🕯️

If you’re carrying a baby in your heart today, you are not alone. And if you walk alongside grieving families, thank you. Next Wednesday, October 21, I’ll be gathering with birth workers to talk about how we can show up for them well.

Tonight at 7:00 pm, candles will be lit in every time zone, one after another, until a wave of light has circled the whole world. 🕯️

Each flame is for a baby who was loved, wanted, and carried. Babies lost in early pregnancy, in the second trimester, at birth, or in the days and months after. Babies whose names are spoken often, and babies whose names are rarely heard out loud.

If you are a mother who has walked through loss, I see you tonight. Your baby mattered. Your love is not over just because your time together was shorter than you hoped.

If you know someone who has experienced a loss and you're never quite sure how to tell them you're here, you remember, you haven't forgotten, and they and their baby mattered, today is the easiest way to do that: simply light a candle in their baby's honor. Then send them a photo or a quick note so they know their baby was remembered tonight.

Through Purposely Entrusted Motherhood, I believe in being held even when things don't go the way we hoped. Tonight, I'm holding space for you, and I trust that God holds you and your little one with a tenderness no one else can.

Light a candle at 7:00 pm your time and let it burn for at least an hour. If you'd like, share your baby's name in the comments. I would be honored to remember them with you. 🤍

Whether you attend births at home, in a birth center, or in the hospital, at some point you may walk alongside a family whose baby dies. When Birth and Grief Meet is for every one of us who serves families at birth.

Birth workers from Florida to Arizona have already registered, and I’d love for you to join us.

Imagine a family. Mom is planning her first home birth. The pregnancy has been beautiful, and there’s never been a cause for concern. Then, on vacation, she realizes she hasn’t felt the baby move.

That mom was me.

I’m a doula, a birth assistant, and a midwifery student, and I lost my son. I know how much the people in the room matter. On Wednesday, October 21, I’ll share our story to help birth workers learn how to care for families through stillbirth.

A gentle note: this gathering will include stillborn images, shown with a warning beforehand so you can choose whether to look.

If you serve families at birth, I’d be honored to have you there. 🕯️
