Hey guys, just a reminder, this is my last year preparing taxes. I am now working full-time and have been doing most of my business stuff on the weekends. That being said, if you filed an extension, that due date is less than a month away - October 15, 2025! The sooner you can get me your tax stuff, the better so I am not scrambling at the last minute to get anything done. I don’t answer my phone at work, so please send emails to [email protected]. It's me again! Here is referral #2! This morning, I met with Nikki from Shield Tax Services. Nikki is an Enrolled Agent who has been in the financial industry for a long time. She branched out and opened her own tax business in 2021 and just recently opened a brick-and-mortar office near Union Hills and the Loop 101 in Peoria. She specializes in Retirement Planning and Investments but also is great with personal taxes, small business taxes, rentals and payroll. Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this transition. I still intend to share a few referrals as soon as possible to you all. Unfortunately, a week and a half ago, I developed appendicitis and had to have surgery. That had me down for about a week and I was not very productive at all. I just started my new full-time job this week and have been very busy. I will share the info I have collected with you all as soon as possible. 🙂

Unfortunately, I haven’t had a proper chance to do that yet since my appendix decided to tap out on me this past weekend. I am home and recovering, but moving a bit slow right now. Just wanted to let you all know I didn’t just vanish!

To my tax clients...
I wanted to let you know that I have, after lots of consideration, decided to close the tax portion of my business. The last 3 years have not done my mental health any favors and I don't feel like I am capable of providing the kind of tax service my clients expect and deserve. I do not intend to renew my tax preparer registration or obtain 2025 tax software, which would mean 12/31/2025 is the last date I can prepare and submit any taxes. I am researching a few tax preparers that I can offer as options to my clients, I can certainly provide that info to anyone interested when I have their blessing to do so. I was offered and accepted a wonderful opportunity for full time employment. I really think getting out of the house and having something regular is what is best for me. I apologize for dropping that bomb, but I wanted to let you know so you could also make some decisions for the coming tax year. I truly do appreciate all of you!! You have been the backbone of my business for the last 15 years and I will genuinely miss you guys. I hope you all understand... this has been a very tough decision to make.
