When you need help with a project, do you already know who you would call?

I’ve been thinking about how useful it is to know people who are good at what they do—whether that’s fixing something around the house, handling a repair, or helping with a project that’s outside your skill set.

I enjoy figuring things out myself, but I also recognize the value of experienced professionals.

I’d like to share more local businesses and people I’ve had good experiences with, so we can help each other find reliable help when we need it.

What type of local professional do you find hardest to find and trust?

Do you have to know everything before you start something new?

I don’t think so.

Most people who become good at something started as beginners. They asked questions, learned from others, made mistakes, and improved over time.

That applies to business, too. You don’t need to have every answer on day one. You do need a willingness to learn, a reason to keep going, and the right people around you.

I’m always interested in meeting people who want to grow, help others, and explore what else might be possible professionally.

Have you ever considered building something of your own, or are you happy where you are right now?

Have you ever thought about how much of your retirement income you can actually count on?

Many people focus on how much they’ve accumulated. That matters—but another question matters just as much:

How will that money turn into a dependable paycheck when you stop working?

Retirement isn’t only about reaching a number. It’s about understanding where your income will come from, what could affect it, and whether your plan can support the life you want to live.

You don’t need every answer today. But it helps to start asking the right questions before retirement arrives.

Have you thought more about your retirement savings—or about how you’ll turn them into income?

Not every day needs to be about business.

Sometimes, it’s about the projects we take on, the people we spend time with, or the little things that make an ordinary day memorable.

I’m trying to get better at sharing more of those moments—not just the professional side of life.

Because there’s a person behind every business, and I think it’s worth getting to know that person, too.

What’s something you’ve been working on lately that has nothing to do with your job?

If your most valuable employee gave notice tomorrow, what would it take to replace them?
Recruiting, training, lost productivity, customer relationships, and the time it takes for a new person to get up to speed can all add up.
That's why employee retention deserves more thought than an annual raise.
Business owners can explore ways to reward key people, strengthen benefits, and give valuable employees reasons to build their future with the company.
The right strategy depends on the business, its goals, and the people it wants to retain.

Have you ever considered a new career or business opportunity but talked yourself out of it because you didn't know enough yet?

Nobody starts with all the answers.
You learn by asking questions, getting guidance, working with people, and gaining experience.
A career helping families and business owners prepare for their financial future can be meaningful work—and an opportunity to keep growing yourself.
You don't have to decide anything today. You can start by learning what's possible.
If you'd like to learn more about what we do, send a message.

A day off can be a good reminder that life isn't only about the next task on our list.
Maybe today means family time, catching up around the house, enjoying the fall colors, or finally tackling that project you've been putting off.
Whatever your day looks like, I hope you get to enjoy a little of it.
What's on your agenda today?

When you retire, are you planning for your taxes—or just your retirement balance?

Here’s something worth thinking about.

Two people could have the same amount of money saved for retirement.

But they could end up with very different amounts available to actually spend.

Why?

Taxes.

That’s why tax planning shouldn’t wait until you’re already retired.

A strong retirement strategy can involve creating different sources of retirement income and thinking ahead about when and how that income will be taxed.

The goal isn’t simply:

“How much money can I accumulate?”

It’s also:

“How much can I actually use?”

Have you ever looked at your retirement savings and asked, “How much of this will actually be mine after taxes?”

What would you try if you didn’t feel like you had to know everything first?

One of the biggest misconceptions about starting something new is thinking you need to have all the answers.

You don’t.

You need to be willing to:

Learn.
Ask questions.
Listen.
Practice.
Improve.

That’s how almost every skill is developed.

The financial-services business gave me an opportunity to keep learning while helping people with some of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.

And I’m still learning.

That’s part of what I like about it.

If you’ve ever thought about doing something different, building something of your own, or simply learning more about what I do, send me a message. We can have a conversation.

What Are You Going to Remember?

When you look back at 2026, what will you remember?

The emails?

The meetings?

The bills?

The things you were worried about?

Or will you remember the people?

The conversations.

The laughs.

The places you went.

The things you tried.

The moments you almost missed because you were too busy thinking about tomorrow.

There’s nothing wrong with planning for the future.

But we only get to live today once.

That’s something I’m trying to remind myself of more often.

What do you want to remember about this year?
