When you come from nothing, been doubted, counted out, and spit on you gain a unique perspective.
You start to see people differently and realize everyone’s fighting battles you can’t see.
I got this demeanor from Shark Tank.
That’s why some of the strongest leaders and kindest people I know choose to give grace. They know what it feels like to be on the edge, to need just one person to believe in them, to have someone extend a hand instead of pointing a finger.
I’ve learned to do the same: lead with empathy.
Be quick to listen, slow to judge, and generous with your support.
You never know whose life you might change with one act of kindness.
