Team Money Management, LLC

Team Money Management, LLC When getting the mail becomes overwhelming, the personnel at Team Money Management, LLC can help you for over twenty-five years.

Carol Troyer, DMM®, founder and owner of Team Money Management, LLC (TMM), has provided office management services for Permco Contracting, Inc. She has personally experienced the challenges of hands-on care giving for their parents over a period of several years. When Carol’s time as care giver for children and parents ended, she accepted the challenge given her in a time of prayer to return to sc

hool at Liberty University pursuing a degree in Finance/Business Administration. In 2014, Carol discovered the American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM) website and realized this was why she went back to college in her sixties. With her background of care giving, office management, decades of providing Daily Money Management services for her mother-in-law, and the resources available through AADMM, a new business model began to form that with God’s blessing, will serve clients and personnel in a non-traditional format for many years to come.Daily money management services have proven invaluable to elderly, people dealing with illness or injuries, caregivers, disabled, people going through life transitions, those who travel frequently or simply do not have time, ability or desire to maintain their personal routine finances. Smaller families who live apart from each other are finding life even more challenging as they attempt to keep up with their own bills, insurance papers, etc. in addition to their parents’ paperwork. The AADMM is at the forefront of developing a network of providers dedicated to stifling the fraud that targets the elderly and those unable to adapt to today’s digital world. AADMM provides Team Money Management, LLC with a wealth of resources and training to keep developing the skills required in today’s digital and ever-changing financial environment.

Binoculars
Binoculars have two lenses (a couple) looking at the same view (personal finances). One eye is stronger than the other, so the binocular lenses are adjusted to compensate to provide the best, clearest view. Both “eyes” (people) see the same view, but until the binoculars are focused, they cannot see the clearest view. Even then, they will each value an event, a color or shape more than the other. We all see value differently, but we must concentrate on refocusing the lenses to see the clearest and brightest view of what we value the most…and to get the best view of a financial future that will endure the stress of a pandemic or other unexpected “life” events.

A single person's view is like a telescope. You might focus on one star and miss the milky way. Choose a close friend or trusted professional to look through your financial binoculars with you so you may see the whole future more clearly. The view will constantly be changing. Set a time monthly, quarterly, or annually to focus and refocus to direct your finances toward the future you value.

Everything has changed this spring! Now is the perfect time to refocus your financial future. Adjust the lenses until you discover the path that leads toward the life you value. Enjoy the trip!

I use Mint to track our bank and credit cards, and this seems to be another good source for personal use.

When my in-laws became too incapacitated to handle their own affairs, my wife and I took over. A year and a half later, we’re still trying to figure it all out.

Sometimes life gets in the way...
Last June everything was in place. The business plan was written, the website in place, the business cards and brochures printed, pens ready to hand out, and a list of people on my schedule as I focused on introducing myself and this new business.

That night, my husband had a stroke. My priorities suddenly changed. As I look back...I needed a daily money manager because the piles of mail quickly became overwhelming as I concentrated on other important tasks such as helping him function and focusing on keeping his business on track. Why did this happen now? Just when I was ready to go?

I have always given credit for the business model of Team Money Management LLC to God. It was His idea that I begin to pursue a college degree at age 60. I truly believe He directed me to the AADMM website where I discovered a name for what I had done for my mother-in-law for years - daily money management. He taught me a valuable lesson these past months, and my focus has changed to bringing together the "Team" and the clients rather than taking on the burden of several clients myself. The true value of this business model is the "Team" working together to provide support for our clients while protecting them from fraud.

One huge accomplishment for me last year was passing the exam for Professional Daily Money Manager certification (PDMM®) by AADMM (American Association of Daily Money Managers) in November. Keith was able to get around on his own by then, so I was able to attend the AADMM National Convention in Arizona. This was a refreshing and enlightening experience for me to learn from those who have been offering these services professionally for many years. The experience also reinforced the message that the "Team" concept is integral to providing our clients with the best possible alternative.

And so here I am, once again, at "go"! My intention is to do something each week day to get the message out. Today, I wrote a blog and set up the business page. And now to go meet that list of people....
