Gm, today is the day the IRS officially open, today IS NOT the day you will get a date. They are only accepting and processing today, majority of you all have already been accepted early. Again today is not the day for dates, you will have to wait until the path act lift like every year before many of you start seeing dates, depending on the credits claimed.

Even though the irs had started accepting some tax returns, the “where’s my refund” website will not start showing you any info until the irs officially open on the 29th and even then those of you claiming the eic (mostly people with dependents) will still have to wait until the “path act” lifts which is usually around February 15, before you can begin to see dates drop. You can check the website everyday if you want but for my clients I will know before the website and I always update my people on everything Pittman Tax Service
