For my 1099 filers who only received cash payments! You don’t need perfect records 📂 to file your taxes!

Let me tell you why... 🗣️

Being a self-employed worker, sometimes you won't get a tax form. If you cleaned homes, were a dancer, hairstylist, etc. You will not get a tax form espcially if you didn't work under a business.

Self-employed workers that you will see receive a tax form are DoorDash and Uber drivers, Lyft drivers, Spark drivers (Walmart delivery), etc. Why? 🤷🏽‍♀ Because even though they worked for themselves and chose their own hours, they also worked under a business.

What does it mean to be self-employed?

Self-employed is scheduling your own hours (work when convenient for you), taxes are not taken out of your pay, you provide services to a company and their customers (not working for the company). In return, you are paid for your services.

Bank statements + receipts are better than waiting forever trying to figure out if you need to file or not! 🗣️
