IRS filing date is Monday 1/23/2023!

IR-2023-05, January 12, 2023 — The Internal Revenue Service today announced Monday, January 23, 2023, as the beginning of the nation's 2023 tax season when the agency will begin accepting and processing 2022 tax year returns.

Tax changes for 2022 … IRS is increasing mileage reimbursement on 7/1/2022.

If you claim business mileage you will need to separate total annual mileage:

1/1/2022 - 6/30/2022
7/1/2022-12/31/2022

Set yourself a reminder on 7/1/2022 to snap a picture of your odometer!!!

For those claiming EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit) & Additional Child Tax Credit -

IRS states they will be holding those refunds until the beginning of March, barring no other issues.
