Tucson’s Trusted CPA and Financial Advisor

Tucson is a very transitent city but I as a second generation native of the Old Pueblo, I take great pride in living, working, and playing in our great city. My father, Kyle DeFoor, was a certified public accountant in Tucson for years and inspired me to fall in his footsteps. Today, I have my own business here in Tucson, Lora Vega, CPA, offering accounting, tax, and financial advisory services to individuals and businesses alike.

As I grew up in Tucson, I attended Amphi High School. After graduation, I studied math at Grand Canyon University and I worked with my father in his firm. After getting married and starting a family of my own, I returned to school at the University of Phoenix where I earned my Bachelor’s in Accounting in 2000. I then earned my certificate as a certified public accountant in 2004.

In 2006, my father was in the process of retiring. He had served as accountant and financial advisor to a group of emergency room physicians that were looking to hire someone in house. I went to work for the physicians group and also began my private accounting practice on the side. In 2012, the practice dissolved and I went into business full-time for myself.

Working in accounting and financial advising is in my blood. I have always loved numbers. Math is my favorite subject so a career in accounting was ideal for me.
