Here’s a small part of the support system behind the scenes! Murphy has been with Ashley since 2013 and they have had 3 little ones of their own over the years! Their oldest is in the first grade, middle is starting kindergarten next year and they have a sweet baby girl who stays home with her mom.

Founder of Durrett & Associates: Joe Durrett

Joe has been a CPA for over 30 years. He was originally in the corporate setting but when his family began to grow, he made the decision to start his own firm in town. Durrett and Associates has been on Hwy 11 since 1997. Joe takes pride in forming personal relationships with his clients and being an asset to his community.

Joe played baseball at the collegiate level and now enjoys helping coach his grandsons’ teams. He is also a big fan of the Savannah Bananas/Party Animals and will be the first to cheer on the Tide in all sports.

Murphy Durrett

He is originally from the area and graduated from The University of Alabama with his bachelors & masters with his CPA to follow. UA is also where he met his wife, Ashley. After graduating, they moved to Texas and started their family. They now have 2 boys and a girl, who are 7, 5, and 1. After their first, they wanted to move closer to family and Murphy came to work with his dad at Durrett & Associates.

In his spare time, he enjoys coaching his kids sports teams, playing disc golf, cheering on the Tide and spending time with friends and family.
