Starting up a new business location is proving to be more complicated than anticipated!
Somehow, Magnolia Rose Aesthetics [the high-end, medical aesthetics practice with a small, quiet spa atmosphere I have been working hard to create] has been branded by some critics as a (somehow undesirable?) “Botox Center” right out of the gate, without proper consult or information to determine the full scope of my business model. This, of course, has set some hoops on fire in the process of obtaining full approvals from the City, while creating unfortunate and time-sensitive hardships in my world.
The Terre Haute City Council tabled their decision during our first meeting last month, and we are now looking at another month due to tonight’s vote being postponed again. Despite the challenges, I respect the need for due diligence, plus the volume of information and perceptions the Council must face with each decision. Having to navigate between reasonable and applicable concerns, versus those which are based on unrelated and inaccurate information, must surely be a difficult task.
I wish to express my gratitude to the Area Planning Commission for the favorable recommendation, and to WTHI-TV10 for providing the community with a more informed decision opportunity.
I am also very thankful for the support of my family, friends, business peers, and those in the community who have changed their perceptions once having a better understanding of my business model, as they have all encouraged me to remain steadfast.
I invite my supporters to contact the Terre Haute City Council and provide them with positive reassurances that I present a community-healthy business model which is sensitive to the needs of all involved.
