Happy Friday!

I wanted to share this quote because it can be applied to just about everything we do.

Whether we are looking to build our businesses, sell goods, meet new people, grow relationships, etc., it is important to look at how we are presenting ourselves.

The business, the goal is to create content that people want to read and buy while not seeming to be overly pushing and looking for a quick sale. In relationships, we want to attract people who bring out the best in us while not appearing to be overly eager or needy.

There is a fine line between chasing and attracting - which side are you standing on?

Belated White Rabbit!

My favorite month is here!!

So much has been going on these last few weeks - we had a hurricane to prepare for and deal with, illness, and lots of family time.

I get down on myself when I am not consistent with my social media posts, but I also need to remember to have some compassion for myself.

Let's start this new month off with thanks and gratitude - we all have worked so hard to get where we are, and we need to take a moment to appreciate that for ourselves.

I am constantly hearing people worry about their hourly rate or package prices, wondering if it is too high and that is why they are not getting any clients. While it's ok to start at a lower rate, don't discount yourself or your skills. Make sure to increase your rates steadily till you reach your goals.

In this industry, you are marketing and promoting YOU. If you are not finding your dream client or ideal wage, start looking at other platforms to expand your search.

Make yourself the priority, and make changes if you aren't getting the results you want. You know your worth - don't let someone else tell you what it is.

Life has been hectic and messy lately, but there are sooo many positives to focus on.

Tuesday was the three-year deathiversary of my dad and I managed to get through the day better than expected. My anxieties were through the roof in the weeks leading up to it, but the day itself was actually peaceful. I took the day to think about all things that have happened in the last three years, and rather dwell on what he has missed, I thought about all the fun things he got see from up above.

In the last few weeks we have:
🎃 decorated for Halloween since it is my daughter's favorite holiday
🥷 celebrated Teagan's first belt testing in Taekwondo
👩‍🎤 bought tickets to see Lindsey Stirling in November!
❤️spent time with family
🐶gotten all the puppy snuggles
👩‍💻worked out a gameplan for the next few months of growth with the company

I'm celebrating the little things right now and keeping my eye on the big picture. Life is messy, but it's important to stop and appreciate where we are today and what we have accomplished.

I was in 10th grade chemistry when someone rushed in and put the TV on. I remember sitting there is disbelief, not fully sure I understood what I was watching.

I remember one of my classmates running out of the room, frantic to call his dad who supposed to be in one of the towers for a work meeting.

I remember my family panicking because my great uncle was a firefighter with FDNY and no one could reach him.

As I've gotten older, the magnitude of this day continues to burn in my soul. Not just because of the horrible acts that took so many lives, but because it also brought us together as a county.

There are days it feels like we are so divided from each other now. Like we have forgotten about the sacrifices and horror this day caused. Like we have forgotten how to be one country.

Pushing all politics aside, today is a day of remembrance and continued learning. We need to get back to the county we were on Sept 12th. The country where we helped our fellow man and fought to be one united nation.

May we never forget, and may we heal this nation.
