IT Help Desk Technician

Objective
Lanigan & Associates, a regional professional services firm, is seeking a career minded entry-level IT professional to provide effective, timely, customer-focused internal technical support for business applications and hardware issues. This individual will also be trained to provide redundancy for network and infrastructure support. This job offers opportunities for career growth and professional development.
Core Responsibility Overview
· Will learn and understand the usage of internal business applications and end-user devices in order to provide effective and timely technical support.
· Will gain a solid understanding of the internal network and server infrastructure to provide support and administration redundancy.
· Will gain cybersecurity skills and assist in security operations.
· Will achieve a high internal customer satisfaction level for the accurate and timely resolution of support issues.
Qualifications and core competencies
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Working toward a degree in Information Technology or related technology field preferred.
· 2+ years of experience on a Corporate IT Help Desk preferred
· Understanding of general business concepts. Comfortable in high paced office environment.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Windows client and server systems, and Microsoft Office programs.
· Ability to effectively communicate in writing. Ability to speak in front of large groups.
· Ability to research and resolve technical issues with minimal direct supervision.
· Demonstrated ability to take ownership of issues and follow them through to resolution.
· Willingness to learn from mentors and coaches. Ability to listen to and understand diverse viewpoints.
· Familiarity or interest in emerging technologies in mobility, security, networking, and general computing.
