HOLD THOSE TAX RETURNS! 🤓

Congress is in the midst of passing tax legislation retroactive to 2023. We highly recommend temporarily holding off filing your returns until this is passed. It could mean more money in your pocket sooner than waiting on adjustments from the IRS or amending returns (higher refundable portion of the child tax credit, higher bonus depreciation for businesses to name a few of the proposed items). This has already passed the House and expected to pass through the Senate quickly. Let us know if you have any questions!

Be on high alert with any calls regarding the Employee Retention Credit (ERC)! I just personally got a call selling me a bunch of lies - I guess they didn't realize they were talking to a CPA that is very familiar with the qualifications and many nuances involved with this credit. Always talk to a real tax professional before agreeing to work with any of these third parties.

Just announced! All upcoming tax deadlines for individuals and businesses throughout FL will be extended to February 15, 2023. This does NOT extend payments due prior to the storm (i.e. individual income taxes originally due 4/15/22), but will give relief on quarterly estimated payments, payroll taxes, etc. Hope everyone stayed as safe as possible and wishing speedy recoveries to all those impacted by this disaster.
