I've been receiving calls about a $2000 tariff dividend going out. I've seen emails claiming to give out these dividend checks. THIS IS A SCAM! Don't fall for it. There are no current plans for a $2000 check coming from the government. Let your friends and family know. Don't get caught up in this scam. Shady people are everywhere.

There is increasing talk of a government shutdown on March 17th. While we're hopeful the government can work it out, if it does shut down, the IRS will be left with a basic skeleton crew. Many refunds should automatically process but there is a higher chance of delayed refunds. We recommend, if you haven't done your taxes this year, getting them done before a possible shutdown goes into effect.
