The Swansea Police Department would like to warn its citizens of a possible scam. The caller claiming to be an employee with McAfee Antivirus says that as a reward for you talking to them, they will do a free hard drive cleaning. They will then ask for remote access to your computer. When granted, a mysterious problem will lock your computer and they would then request money to fix the issue. If payment is not received; the caller will hang up leaving you with a locked computer. Please be aware and if you get any telephone calls from someone claiming to be from McAfee Antivirus do not give them remote access to your computer.
