Happy Friday!
There are a lot of scams every year regarding filing annual reports. To simplify, in Florida, your annual report is filed on dos.fl.gov/sunbiz and is free to file but you do have to pay the state an annual fee based on your entity type. I do not recommend paying any company who solicits you to file your annual report as their fees are high and it’s fairly simple to do. Contact your attorney or CPA and they will most likely do it for a minimal fee if you are not comfortable doing it. Do file it by May 1st as a $400 penalty applies afterwards.
BOI’s are not required for most entities either 😊.
I hope this helps, as always you can call or email me with questions.

Business entities should visit the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Beneficial Ownership Information site to determine if they are required to register or update their business information with the Federal Government.

End of year W2 reporting may be an issue for those of you who are paid tips/overtime. Make sure you keep your last pay stub, which should have your ytd breakout for tips and overtime pay. There are tax benefits relating to these amounts that are new for 2025 and it’s important that you have the breakdown as it may or may not be separately reported on your 2025 W2.

Heads up, the OBBB discontinued EV tax credits so if you want an electronic vehicle and would like to get the credit (up to $7500) you have until September 30th to purchase.
