Once this Iran debacle somehow gets solved, countries worldwide have to reconsider their dependence on fossil fuels. Breaking free of oil's grip requires switching to renewable energy sources. After all, Iran can't block the sun, Russia doesn't control the wind, and the U.S. can't do a deal with either.

This year the average listing price of a used car is $25,630 up 33% from 2019. The used car business is somewhat infamous for the wide array of dealerships in the game, many of which have made a killing selling cars and financing them to subprime buyers who lack other options. These same companies are also in the repossession business. In 2025, an estimated 1.72 million cars and trucks were repossessed in the United States, a figure that is projected to grow 2.2%.

At the end of 2025, finance-focused AI research lab Nof1 launched an AI trading competition among eight top AI models. They were handed $10,000 to trade U.S. tech stocks for two weeks and were given free rein to take risks and use leverage. Only 6 out of 32 attempts across these models delivered positive results, with one Grok 4.20 model being the winner with $34.59% return.

Netflix announced that 10 years ago, foreign-language series and movies were less than 10% of total viewing on Netflix, a figure that today has risen to 1/3 of total viewing. Last year, 70% of viewing on Netflix came from subscribers who were watching stuff from a country that was not their own, indicating that the company has been able to get people interested in non-local content. That isn’t easy or cheap, and requires investing in accessibility tools like subtitles, audio descriptions and dubbing; Netflix reported adding 13,000 hours of audio description across 34 languages in 2025, up 30% year over year.

Jeff Bezos doesn’t think taxing billionaires is the answer. Amazon got to the position they are in because purchases on Amazon weren’t taxed until until 2017. It’s been estimated that Amazon from 1995 when their major sales began until 2017 gave Amazon a $3.8 billion gift.

Elon Musk's SpaceX filed for what could be the largest initial public offering in history on Wednesday, seeking to raise up to $80 billion at a $2 trillion valuation. But unlike Tesla -- a Musk-owned company that built its success on China -- SpaceX says it is excluding the world's second-largest economy as a market, now and in the future.
