How do you account for your household employee on your 2022 return?
This is done on a 1040 Schedule H, and by taking credit for any 1040ES payments you made towards your tax obligation throughout the year. Your tax pro should be well versed in this process, just make sure they have the documents they need from your payroll company. If you are using tax software, you can enter the information directly. Use the search function, entering keywords such as "household employee" or "schedule H", and follow the directions.
