Thank You for a Great Tax Season!
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible clients and community for another successful tax season!

As things begin to settle down, we’re pleased to officially announce that Robin and Janet Rosenfeld will be stepping in as the new managing partners of the firm.
Robin, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Janet, who is an IRS certified filing preparer, are honored to carry on Joanne’s legacy. They are committed to upholding her vision and ensuring the company continues to thrive in her memory.

We’re also pleased to share that Joanne’s husband, Larry, will remain with the firm, along with the rest of our wonderful team at Rosenfeld & Co—including Lisa and Kim, who have been with us since the 1980s. And of course, Amber will still be up front to welcome all of our clients, both in person and over the phone.

Robin here - for many years, Janet I have had a Columbus Day war. We try to claim each other's offices despite there already being someone occupying that office. Today I walked in to my office to find a large flag proclaiming it is now "Janet Land" and paint everywhere. You don't take over an already occupied territory without a little blood (paint) shed, though. Oh and there's a sparkly unicorn on the flag pole because....Janet. Of course there's a sparkly unicorn.

Previously, I used alcohol, beads, a poem, a tauntaun sleeping bag, and (smallpox free) blankets to swap for her office.

She had a small flag she's planted in my office a few times along with beads and (maybe smallpox carrying?) blankets. No alcohol but she did have a discoball and bubble machine and some hanging peace signs to try and fool me into thinking she was peaceful. Ha! I know her better than that! When we moved back upstairs, the flag somehow (Ha!) went missing.

Here's a photo of today's flag and some of our antics throughout the years. Poor Amber, she had no idea what she was signing up for when she came to work here!

We will be closed until 2:00 PM on Monday, Sept 29 to attend the funeral of our beloved founder, Joanne G. Rosenfeld. Thank you for your understanding as we honor her life and legacy.

Under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA or OB3), tip income is temporarily deductible—for tax years 2025 through 2028—for individuals in jobs that customarily and regularly received tips before December 31, 2024.

The Treasury has released a preliminary list of 68 qualifying jobs. Stella is happy to report that her biscuits received as tips for her work as a social media influencer will qualify. So keep those treats coming.
