If so, you are required to issue them a form 1099-NEC (for "Non-employee Compensation") by January 31st, 2022. (exceptions do apply, please contact me for further detail)

Hi Everyone, as summer starts to wind down, there are some important tax deadlines fast approaching:

PERSONAL TAXES WITH AN EXTENTION- Personal tax returns and Single Member LLC's that have previously filed an extension are due October 15, 2021.

BUSINESS TAXES WITH AN EXTENSION- S-corps, LLC's with an S-Election and Multiple Member LLC's that have previously filed an extension are due September 15, 2021.

Missed the Tax Deadline? Remember, its better late than never! Remember that the penalties for not filing a tax return or a tax extension are higher than not paying taxes owed. Not filing a tax return or an extension is ten times more expensive than not paying your taxes on time! If you haven't filed your taxes, contact us for an appointment- we will get you quickly up to speed!!!

Missed the Tax Deadline? Remember, its better late than never! Remember that the penalties for not filing a tax return or a tax extension are higher than not paying taxes owed. Not filing a tax return or an extension is ten times more expensive than not paying your taxes on time! For example, the penalty for not filing on time is 5%/month of the tax amount owed, plus interest, versus a late payment penalty of 0.5%/month, plus interest. We can help you file late taxes for 2020 or prior years. If you owe back taxes, we can set you up with a payment plan to pause penalties.
