I get asked frequently, what exactly do you do? How do you work with your clients?

The answer is pretty simple, I help people find their financial clarity by creating an individual plan, specific to that person, to enable them to achieve their goals effectively and efficiently. While the plan differs from person to person the process stays the same.

I want to get to know you, get to know what your goals are. We talk about what makes you tic, what dreams you have and where you would like to be. Then we will gather some information, what are you currently doing, what have you tried in the past and what are you contemplating doing in the future. We will analyze your data and compare it to your goals, to find solutions on how to get to those goals effectively and efficiently. YOU choose what you want to implement. You are in the drivers seat, always. We stay with you throughout your journey, walk with you and review your plan and goals at minimum, once a year, more frequently if needed, to adjust when necessary.

We were able to organize a charity hockey game for the foundation Joeys Light with our most recent Action Team. This event was able to raise a significant amount of money and awareness for Joeys Light foundation all with the help of Thrivent’s Action Team. Always use the right tool for the job.
Not all types of accounts are created equal.
After you've identified your goal, the next key step is identifying which type of account will be most suitable to fund that goal.
Different types of accounts have different tax consequences, different risk profiles, different distribution methods, different liquidity, and different fund selection.
Using the wrong type of account can have significant consequences on how quickly and effectively you will reach your goals.

Use money as a tool.

Money itself shouldn't be the end goal, but a tool to achieve your goals.

When you go to the hardware store to buy a new saw, you aren't buying it just to buy it... you buy it for a reason, to finish or start a project. The tool itself isn't the end goal; what you build with it is.

Treat money the same way. Saving just for saving's sake is where most people end up going off track. They stop making it a priority and their follow through declines. Money gets spent elsewhere aimlessly with nothing to show for it.

Humans, by nature, are incentive driven. When there is an end goal, we are more inclined to follow through and stay on track. Identify your goals and use money as a tool to build those dreams into reality. Whether its emergency savings, going on vacation, planning for retirement, creating passive income or any other goal you might have, the key is to identify it.
