Did you work a lot last year. You can deduct your overtime pay from your income. It is not taxable.
There are conditions, though:
1-It must be written on a w2 or an official document from your employer.
2- This only applies to the federal return.
3- The limit is up to $12,500 annually ($25,000 for joint filers)

Don't shoot the messenger: The IRS expects most refunds for the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Additional Child Tax Credit to be available in bank accounts or on debit cards by March 2, 2026, for taxpayers who chose direct deposit and have no other issues with their returns.

Some taxpayers may receive their refund earlier, depending on their financial institution. Where’s My Refund? will provide projected deposit dates for most early EITC/ACTC refund filers by Feb. 21, 2026.

Don't fall for this :

1. "I can file them today using your last pay stub".
That's illegal and many times the info is not the same

2. "Your fees are based on your refund"
That's illegal too! We can not charge you based on your refund.
3. " I will have to charge you to put it in your account"
You should not pay for direct deposit unless you go through a third party bank
