❗ No one is talking about this... and it breaks my heart.
The new One Big Beautiful Bill Act made devastating changes to the Child Tax Credit — changes that will hurt immigrant families across the country.

🔹 Parents without Social Security Numbers are now excluded from claiming the credit even if their children are U.S. citizens with valid SSNs.
🔹 This will discourage many families from filing taxes at all — even though undocumented immigrants DO pay taxes and try to follow the rules just like everyone else.

I've met with countless families who are doing everything they can to stay compliant and build a future for their children. This change punishes those who are doing the right thing.

La nueva ley One Big Beautiful Bill Act hizo cambios devastadores al Crédito Tributario por Hijos, cambios que afectarán gravemente a familias inmigrantes en todo el país.

🔹 Los padres sin número de Seguro Social ahora quedan excluidos del crédito, aunque sus hijos sean ciudadanos estadounidenses con SSN válidos.
🔹 Esto desmotivará a muchas familias a declarar impuestos, aunque sabemos que los inmigrantes indocumentados SÍ pagan impuestos y tratan de seguir las reglas como cualquier otra persona.

He trabajado con muchas familias que hacen todo lo posible por cumplir con la ley y construir un futuro para sus hijos. Este cambio castiga a quienes están tratando de hacer lo correcto. Quitara la seguridad de comida y vivienda de muchas familias.
