If you’re self-employed, own a business, or have income that isn’t subject to enough withholding, this is your reminder to make sure your third-quarter estimated tax payment is on your radar.

For 2026, the third estimated tax payment is due September 15.

Staying ahead of estimated payments throughout the year can help you manage cash flow and avoid an unexpected tax bill—or potential underpayment penalties—when it’s time to file.

Is your business on track for year-end? 📊

September is a great time to check in on your numbers—before the end-of-year rush begins.

Take a look at your revenue, expenses, cash flow, and tax position. Are they where you expected them to be? Are there adjustments you should make while there’s still time?

You don’t want to get to December and wish you had made a different decision in September. A year-end check-in now gives you time to make strategic moves, plan for taxes, and finish the year with a clearer picture of your business.

Don’t just close out the year—plan for it.

Keeping your books up to date gives you a clearer picture of your income, expenses, cash flow, and profitability so you can make informed decisions throughout the year.

It also means fewer surprises at tax time, easier tax planning, and less scrambling to find missing information.

Your books shouldn’t only get attention when a deadline is approaching. A little consistency throughout the year can make running your business—and planning for its future—a whole lot easier.

A tax advisor does more than help you file a tax return once a year.

For business owners, tax advising is about looking ahead. Our advisory services can help you understand how financial decisions you make throughout the year may affect your taxes, identify planning opportunities, prepare for upcoming tax obligations, and avoid surprises when filing season arrives.

Because the goal shouldn’t just be to find out what you owe in April—it should be to have a plan long before you get there.

That’s the difference between tax preparation and tax planning.

There’s a lot of family history behind the doors of Forsberg Tax & Advisory Group. 💙

Our story goes back to 1985, and today we’re proud to be a third-generation family practice serving Cochise County.

And the family connections don’t stop there. Spencer grew up in a family of accountants, so numbers were already in his blood. Then he met his wife, Marlee—and discovered her dad, Steve, was an accountant too. Spencer says that was when he knew he had found both the career path and the woman he wanted to pursue. 😂

Steve welcomed Spencer into the family, and over the years, their relationship grew into a professional partnership as well.

What started as a family-founded accounting practice decades ago continues today with the same emphasis on relationships, community, and helping local businesses succeed.

For us, this business has always been about more than numbers. It’s about family, relationships, and serving the community we call home. 💙

Running a business means keeping an eye on a lot of numbers—but some matter more than others. 📊

Three numbers every business owner should know:

💰 Revenue — How much money your business is bringing in.
📉 Expenses — What it costs to keep your business running.
📈 Profit — What’s actually left after those expenses are paid.

Knowing these numbers throughout the year—not just at tax time—can help you spot problems earlier, plan ahead, and make better decisions for your business.

Not sure what your numbers are telling you? That’s where having the right financial guidance can make a difference. Fill out our online form to get started with our Business Advisory Services.

3 Ways to Grow Your Business

1. Know Your Numbers 📊
Review your income, expenses, and cash flow regularly so you know what’s working—and what isn’t.

2. Reinvest Strategically 💰
Put profits back into areas that can support growth, such as equipment, employees, technology, or marketing.

3. Plan for Growth, Not Just Taxes 📈
Work with your accountant throughout the year to set goals, make informed financial decisions, and prepare for what’s next.

Growth starts with a plan.
