But more than half of business owners surveyed said they’ve skipped or reduced their own pay to keep bills or payroll covered.

Sometimes that happens. But when it becomes the pattern, it’s worth asking why.
Is pricing where it needs to be? Are expenses eating too much of the revenue? Is cash flow being planned for? Is the business actually profitable?

It’s easy to move from one thing to the next when you’re running a business. One goal gets checked off, and there’s already another one waiting.

Good financial habits aren’t complicated. They just have to become habits.

Knowing your numbers, paying yourself intentionally, planning for profit, and looking beyond your bank balance can change the way you make decisions in your business.

Because a healthy bank balance is great - but it doesn’t tell you what’s profitable, what’s costing you too much, what you can safely pay yourself, or what might be coming around the corner.

The goal isn’t to obsess over your numbers. It’s to understand them well enough to actually use them.
