Churches... if your bank account is healthy but your community support is not, you are the reason why churches will start to be audited and potentially taxed. Make sure your documentation is reflective of your outreach.

The IRS doesn't tax churches because they consider them the same as other charities. This is because churches support their communities in numerous ways.

Please wait until you have ALL your tax information together before sending it to us. Once you have everything together, no appointment needed to drop it off. We can also send you a secure portal link to upload your information. NO pictures of documents as that creates additional work, and therefore, additional cost for you.

Should I get a 1099 or a W-2?

The IRS is very clear on their distinction between a 1099 subcontractor and a W-2 employee.

If...
1. Your pay rate is determined by the entity, not you.
2. The how/what/when of the job is determined by
the entity, not you.

You need to evaluate your classification.
