April 15 is officially behind us — and this filing season was a good reminder that tax planning does not end when the return is filed.
With the One Big Beautiful Bill Act now affecting federal taxes, credits, deductions, and business planning, there are meaningful changes taxpayers should be paying attention to before year-end. The IRS notes that OBBBA impacts individuals, families, businesses, healthcare, clean energy, charitable giving, and more.

For individuals and business owners, this is a good time to revisit:
• Withholding and estimated tax payments
• Entity structure and pass-through planning
• Depreciation and business deduction strategies
• Estate and gift planning
• Charitable giving plans
• Tax credits that may be changing or expiring

The most expensive tax surprises usually come from waiting until filing season to ask planning questions.
So yes — take a breath then remember to start planning well in advance of tax season.

Look ahead and be proactive - do not look behind and be reactive.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

On March 17th, our office will be closed while some of us may head to downtown Savannah to chase leprechauns, make questionable life choices, and test the structural integrity of warm beer.

We’ll return March 18th at 8 AM — slightly hungover, mildly regretful, and ready to pretend we remember what happened the night before.

Stay safe, stay lucky, and try to keep your bad decisions tax-deductible.

Just like basically everyone as they get older, sometimes you need a little facelift to stay fresh, chill, legit, in the know. Our front office kept it based and understood the assignment from jump and is fully on point and low-key fire.

As part of our effort to go paperless as much as possible, we will no longer automatically provide printed copies of the “client-copy” tax return. This change helps reduce paper waste, reflects that many clients have requested not to receive printed copies, and addresses the fact that many printed returns from prior years were never picked up, once they signed online.

Your return will be available through our secure online portal at no additional fee. Printed copies remain available upon request for an additional fee. Copies on USB flash drive can also be requested for an additional fee, if necessary.

If you need assistance getting set up with our portal or if your email address has changed from what is already in our portal, please call our office at (912) 233-8397.
