🚨 IRS Refund Update – Read This if You’re Waiting on Your Money 🚨
I want to clarify something important, because this is starting to affect several taxpayers…
The IRS is sending out CP 53E letters when they claim there is no banking information on the return.
👉 Here’s the issue:Some taxpayers are receiving these notices even though their direct deposit info WAS entered correctly (I’ve seen this firsthand on returns I’ve prepared for years).
So what should you do?
✔️ Don’t ignore the letter✔️ Double-check your banking info✔️ Respond to the notice OR update your info through your IRS online account
⏳ If no action is taken:
The IRS waits 30 days
Then issues a paper check
Expect about 6 additional weeks to receive it
💡 Bottom line:Even if everything was done right, the IRS may still kick it back to you—so stay on top of your mail.
This appears to be tied to the government’s shift away from paper checks… but clearly, it’s not going perfectly.
If you received this letter and have questions, feel free to reach out.
