According to Forbes, when it comes to average retirement ages, “In general, southern states like Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina have a lower average retirement age than the national average.” However, the average retirement age for California is 64, the same as Florida.
The Forbes data also indicated that most people are not prepared for retirement. Whether you’re close to retiring or still years away, it’s never too soon to start putting money away and looking at your retirement account. - Yahoo Finance

When I ask people about retirement age, I always get a mixed answer but most of them within the range of 62-70.
