Not every week is meant for celebration. And this one wasn't.
I was supposed to be back in my hometown this week, San Francisco — facing off against the biggest evil in my industry. The kind of fight that doesn't make the highlight reel but defines everything about who you are.

Years ago, one of the most high-profile companies in the world wanted me as their Head of Ethics. Lucrative. Safe. Someone else's story.

I said no.

Because I needed autonomy without false promises. As a Jewish activist, a board member, a founder raising a family — I needed to be able to fight without asking permission.
