If you’re self-employed and running a more established business, tax planning doesn’t require predicting the future perfectly.
A projection made in October can still change.
You may sign another client.
Payroll may increase.
A planned investment may move into next year.
Personal circumstances may shift.
The goal isn’t to know the final tax bill down to the dollar. It’s to have enough reliable information to answer questions like:
Are we generally prepared?
Do our estimated payments still make sense?
Has profitability changed enough to warrant another conversation?
Does the business look materially different than it did when we made our original plan?
Preparation gives you options. Perfection isn’t required.
