THE DOCUMENT THAT CAN CHANGE YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF A CASE

NEVER ASSUME THAT WHAT SOMEONE SAYS HAPPENED IN COURT IS EXACTLY WHAT THE COURT ORDERED.

There is an important difference between:

• What someone claims happened.
• What a party requested.
• What appears in the docket.
• What the judge actually ordered.

If you're involved in a case, learn how to locate and review the relevant court records.

Look for the filed documents, signed orders, hearing information, and applicable deadlines.

If something seems inconsistent, don't jump to conclusions. Confirm the record with the court and seek qualified legal help when needed.

A docket entry may summarize an event; it may not contain the full terms of an order. And not every document is available online.

DON'T BUILD YOUR NEXT DECISION ON ASSUMPTIONS. CHECK THE RECORD.

Have you ever read a court document and discovered it meant something different from what you expected?

GENERATIONAL WEALTH STARTS WITH KNOWLEDGE 🌳

YOUR CHILDREN MAY INHERIT YOUR ASSETS. WILL THEY INHERIT THE KNOWLEDGE TO MANAGE THEM?

A home is an asset.

A business can be an asset.

Savings can create opportunities.

But without preparation, even valuable assets can become sources of confusion and conflict.

Start teaching your family:

💰 How to budget and save.
📚 How to read important documents.
🏠 Why property records matter.
🛡️ Why estate planning deserves attention.
🤝 How to communicate about responsibilities.
📂 Where essential records are kept.

And remember: having a will or trust does not automatically mean every part of an estate plan is complete.

Your circumstances, assets, beneficiaries, and state laws matter.

DON'T JUST WORK TO LEAVE YOUR FAMILY SOMETHING. WORK TO PREPARE THEM FOR WHAT YOU LEAVE.

💬 Which skill should every young adult learn before turning 18: budgeting, credit, contracts, or estate planning?

YOUR CREDIT REPORT MAY BE WRONG 📄

DID YOU KNOW YOUR CREDIT REPORT CAN CONTAIN AN ACCOUNT THAT DOESN'T BELONG TO YOU?

Credit-report errors can include:

🚨 Someone else's account.
🚨 A payment incorrectly reported late.
🚨 A balance that is wrong.
🚨 The same debt listed more than once.
🚨 Incorrect account dates.

Here's what to do if you find a potential error:

✅ Get a copy of your report.
✅ Identify the specific information you believe is inaccurate.
✅ Gather supporting documents.
✅ Dispute the error with the credit reporting company.
✅ Consider disputing it with the company that supplied the information, too.
✅ Keep copies and track the results.

Credit reporting companies generally have 30 days to investigate a dispute, although certain circumstances allow up to 45 days.

A DISPUTE IS NOT A MAGIC BUTTON THAT ERASES LEGITIMATE DEBT. IT IS A PROCESS FOR CHALLENGING INACCURATE OR INCOMPLETE INFORMATION.
